Google Wallet potentially adding automatic pass imports and AI Agents

New code discovered in a recent version of the Google Wallet app suggests the platform may introduce two major features: automatic pass importation from partners and a new entry point for AI Agents.

Analysis of the app version 26.41.996630916 reveals an ‘Auto add from partners’ setting. This feature is expected to allow users to automatically save passes from integrated services such as airlines, retailers, and event organizers, potentially reducing the need for manual QR code scanning or Gmail imports. While the specific list of participating partners is currently unknown, the setting includes a link to a placeholder support page containing the term ‘trusted_partner_passes’.

Additionally, an ‘Agents’ option has appeared in the account switching menu. Although the link currently leads to a non-existent webpage, the URL contains terms like ‘agenthub’ and ‘agent_tasks’. This suggests Google may be preparing a dedicated hub for AI agent services, possibly integrating its Gemini AI technology to assist with tasks within the wallet ecosystem. Google has not yet officially confirmed these features or provided a release timeline.
