Google to unveil Pixel 11 lineup with 2nm Tensor G6 chip
Google will hold its Made by Google event in New York on August 12, 2026 to launch the Pixel 11 series, including the Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL and the foldable Pixel 11 Pro Fold. The devices will be powered by the new Tensor G6 processor, the first mobile SoC built on TSMC’s 2 nm process, giving Google a brief lead over Apple’s upcoming A20 Pro chip. Leaks suggest the Tensor G6 uses a 1+4+2 CPU core layout and a PowerVR CXT‑48‑1536 GPU, prioritising AI efficiency over raw performance. Regulatory filings indicate the Pixel 11 Pro Fold will replace Samsung’s Exynos modem with MediaTek’s M90 modem, which supports up to 12 Gbps 5G, satellite connectivity and dual‑active SIMs. Design leaks show a new “Pine” colour (muted green) for the Fold, a slimmer camera bar and a larger rear flash that may double as the rumored “Pixel Glow” notification light. Google is also renaming the Magic Cue feature to “Proactive Assistance” to better reflect its AI‑driven assistance. Pricing appears to rise, with the Pixel 11 Pro starting around €1 199 in Europe and Rs 1 03 999 in India, positioning the line in the premium segment. The launch will be closely watched for its impact on the high‑end smartphone market and the adoption of 2 nm technology.
