GoPro announces Mission 1 Pro ILS with interchangeable lenses
GoPro has announced the Mission 1 Pro ILS, its first camera in 24 years to feature an interchangeable lens system. The device utilizes a Micro Four Thirds (MFT) mount paired with a 50MP 1-inch sensor and the GP3 processor.
Key video capabilities include 8K60, 4K240, and 1440p480 recording, along with Open Gate capture modes. The camera features HyperSmooth stabilization and a four-microphone array with 32-bit float audio. Because the MFT mount lacks electronic contacts, users must rely on manual focus and manual aperture control, meaning autofocus and electronic aperture lenses are not supported.
The Mission 1 Pro ILS is available for pre-order at $699.99, with a discounted price of $599.99 for existing GoPro subscribers. Global shipping is scheduled to begin on September 2. Additionally, GoPro is launching the Mission Monitor app for iOS and iPadOS to provide professional monitoring features such as focus peaking and real-time LUT previews.
