GoPro launches MISSION 1 Creator Edition kit for creators

GoPro announced the MISSION 1 Creator Edition, a bundled production kit that includes the 8K‑capable MISSION 1 PRO camera, the Volta 2 grip and battery, a wireless microphone set, a Media Mod and a magnetic latch mount. Priced at $1,099.99 in the United States, the package is aimed at creators moving from handheld action clips to a more complete rig. A higher‑tier MISSION 1 PRO Ultimate Creator Edition is also offered at $1,199.99, adding a Fluid Pro AI gimbal and a Light Mod 2 for additional stabilization and lighting.

The launch was announced on July 29 from GoPro’s headquarters in San Mateo, California, alongside a firmware update that improves image quality, low‑light performance and heat management. In Spain, GoPro has introduced the same accessories for cyclists and other outdoor content creators, but the Creator Edition is not yet available locally, with a suggested retail price of €1,099.99 (reduced to €949.99 for subscribers). The new kit is promoted for use in mountain biking, bikepacking, competitions and social‑media video production.
