GoPro launches Mission 1 Pro cinema‑action camera with 8K video and new discounts
GoPro has expanded its camera line with the Mission 1 and Mission 1 Pro models, which combine the rugged form factor of an action camera with cinema‑grade features. Both cameras use a 1‑inch 50 MP sensor and the new GP3 processor, delivering up to 8K video, 4K120 recording, a 159° field of view and up to 14 stops of dynamic range. The Mission 1 Pro adds higher‑speed options such as 8K60 and 4K240, while both models offer improved low‑light performance, longer battery life and better heat management.
Retailers have begun offering the first price cuts for the lineup, with $100 off each configuration. The standard Mission 1 now sells for $499 (regular $600) and the Mission 1 Pro for $599 (regular $699). Bundles with GoPro’s Point‑and‑Shoot Grip are also discounted, with the Grip Edition of the Mission 1 priced at $599 and the Mission 1 Pro Grip Edition at $680. The deals are available on Amazon and B&H, marking the lowest launch‑price point for GoPro’s new cinema‑action cameras.
