Gor Mahia match against Bandari FC rescheduled to afternoon

Gor Mahia’s FKF Premier League match against Bandari FC at Nyayo Stadium has been moved from a 7:00 pm kickoff to 4:15 pm. The change follows an objection by Sports Kenya, which cited regulations prohibiting the use of the facility at night due to the requirement for at least 24 hours between matches.

Ahead of the fixture, Gor Mahia head coach Charles Akonnor expressed satisfaction with the squad's training intensity and competitive spirit. Akonnor noted that players not currently in the starting lineup are showing high motivation to secure positions.

Regarding team fitness, Akonnor reported that injuries are largely under control, though the club captain remains sidelined. Striker Felix Oluoch has returned to training as he recovers, though he is not expected to be match-ready immediately.
