Goražde officials announce infrastructure and school transport projects

Officials in the Bosnian-Podrinje Canton (BPK) Goražde have announced two new local development projects.

First, a reconstruction project for the Vitković water factory roof has commenced. The project, valued at 200,421 KM, will be executed by GPD Drina d. d. Goražde. This roof reconstruction is the initial phase of a broader facility renovation intended to ensure long-term operational security. Following this phase, officials plan to conduct an energy audit to apply for further funding for insulation and protection in 2027.

Second, the BPK Goražde government has signed a contract for a new passenger van to serve students with developmental disabilities at the Fahrudin Fahro Baščelija Elementary School. The 110,000 KM procurement was made possible through the school's budget and a 30,000 euro contribution from the Islamic Community in Austria. The vehicle is intended to provide safer and more regular transportation for the students.
