Goran Gerasimovski demands apology over Barutana plan presentation
Goran Gerasimovski, the Mayor of the Centar Municipality, has demanded a public apology from the 'Chance for Centar' council group. The demand follows the conduct of members during a public presentation of the Draft Detailed Urban Plan for the 'Barutana' city quarter (J 05).
Gerasimovski alleged that certain individuals acted in an unprofessional manner, targeting Council President Violeta Velkovska and municipal staff. He claimed that participants used mobile phones to selectively record parts of the discussion, removing context and professional responses from urbanists to create a distorted image for political purposes.
While acknowledging that criticism and differing opinions are essential to democratic debate, the Mayor stated that such disagreement does not justify insults or disrespectful treatment of institutional representatives.
