Goran Gerasimovski elected Vice President of SDSM

Goran Gerasimovski, the Mayor of the Centar Municipality, has been elected as a Vice President of the Social Democratic Union of Macedonia (SDSM). During his address to the party's Central Board, Gerasimovski called for unity, mutual trust, and collective work to strengthen the party.

He emphasized that differing opinions should serve as a catalyst for growth rather than a cause for division. Gerasimovski stated that the party must remain united to defend social democratic principles and effectively oppose the DPMNE regime. He expressed his commitment to being open to criticism and new ideas to improve the party, noting that the strength of the SDSM lies in its people rather than a single individual.

His election comes amid local scrutiny regarding his tenure as Mayor, where critics and opposition groups have raised concerns over urban development and construction permits issued in the Centar Municipality.
