Goran Ivanisevic analyzes the impact of Djokovic, Federer, and Nadal

Former tennis professional and coach Goran Ivanisevic has provided an analysis of the ‘Big 3’—Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer, and Rafael Nadal—regarding their impact and playing styles.

Ivanisevic, who coached Djokovic from 2018 to 2024, identified Djokovic as potentially the greatest tennis player in history. He described Djokovic as the most complete athlete, noting his mental strength and a playing style that he compared to a shark or a snake that ‘catches and suffocates’ opponents.

While ranking Djokovic as the most complete, Ivanisevic offered high praise for the other legends. He described Roger Federer’s style as possessing ‘extraordinary beauty,’ noting that it is a pleasure to watch him even when playing poorly. Regarding Rafael Nadal, Ivanisevic emphasized his intense dedication, stating he would trust Nadal to play a match ‘if my life depended on it.’
