Goran Selak introduces housing affordability program

Goran Selak, president of the Socialist Party of Srpska, has introduced a new program aimed at increasing housing affordability. The initiative follows public feedback from the “My Idea for Republika Srpska” campaign, where citizens identified high apartment prices as a primary concern.

The proposed program seeks to establish a system of affordable housing with predefined conditions and prices for specific groups, including first-time buyers, veterans, large families, and single parents. To support this, the plan suggests implementing mechanisms such as tax incentives, reduced public costs, and faster procedures for investors to stimulate supply.
