Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova visits Austria for European Summit

Macedonian President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova is on a working visit to Austria to participate in the 22nd European Summit in Salzburg. Organized by the Institute of Regions of Europe, the summit focuses on the theme ‘Europe – a sovereign global player?’, addressing continental security, economic competitiveness, demographic changes, and EU enlargement.

During her visit, the President is scheduled to address a session titled ‘Is Europe (still) a global player?’ and hold meetings with Franz Schüsserberg, President of the Institute of Regions of Europe, and Karoline Ettstadler, Governor of the state of Salzburg.

Prior to the summit, Siljanovska-Davkova met with members of the Macedonian Orthodox community in Hallein, who recently formed the ‘St. Archangel Michael’ parish. She discussed the National Diaspora Strategy, the Council for Diaspora, and matters regarding European integration. The community expressed gratitude to Marcus Danner, head of the Hallein Parish Union, for allowing the use of Catholic church space for their religious rites.
