Gordon Murray unveils S1 ultra-exclusive supercar

Gordon Murray Automotive has unveiled the S1, an ultra-exclusive supercar designed for long-distance touring and driver engagement. Unveiled at The Quail during Monterey Car Week 2026, the vehicle is based on the platform of the extreme S1 LM but features a more relaxed character and cleaner aesthetics.

Unlike its predecessor, the S1 prioritizes mechanical grip and balance over maximum aerodynamic downforce. It lacks the aggressive fixed rear wing, extended front splitter, and deep side skirts of the S1 LM, instead utilizing a new body design with an active rear aerodynamic system for stability.

The car is powered by a bespoke 4.2-litre naturally aspirated Cosworth V12 engine, producing 690 PS and 500 Nm of torque. The engine is capable of reaching 12,100 rpm and is paired with a six-speed manual gearbox. Production is strictly limited to 64 units worldwide.
