Gordon Ramsay advocates for Michelin Guide in India

Chef Gordon Ramsay has expressed his belief that India deserves its own Michelin Guide, stating, “100% it deserves the guide.” During a roundtable for the second season of his Apple TV+ series, Knife Edge: Chasing Michelin Stars, Ramsay noted his long-standing appreciation for Indian cuisine following travels to Rajasthan.

Ramsay highlighted the global success of Indian dining, citing the presence of Michelin-starred Indian restaurants in Dubai, including Trsind Studio. He also noted the significant influence of Indian cuisine within the United Kingdom's culinary landscape. He expressed confidence that the Michelin Guide will eventually expand into India.

The series, executive-produced by Ramsay, explores the high-pressure environment and intense dedication required for elite restaurants to earn Michelin recognition, which Ramsay compares to winning a World Cup or an Oscar.
