Gorenje names handball star Mathias Gidsel as brand ambassador

Slovenian household appliance manufacturer Gorenje has announced a new partnership with professional handball player Mathias Gidsel. The collaboration was officially presented at the IFA 2026 trade fair in Berlin.

Gidsel, a decorated athlete including IHF World Player of the Year honors and Olympic gold, will serve as a brand ambassador. The partnership is built on shared values of discipline, hard work, and the importance of a supportive home environment to achieve peak performance. Janko Štern, a member of the Hisense Europe Management Board, stated that Gidsel embodies the authenticity and dedication that the brand aims to reflect.

During the presentation at IFA, Gidsel participated in demonstrations within a kitchen setting to showcase the company's appliances.
