Gorenje unveils smart appliance innovations at IFA Berlin 2026

At IFA Berlin 2026, Gorenje showcased several new home appliance solutions focusing on smart technology, design, and laundry care. A key highlight is the SimpliCare platform, which includes the ShoeWash accessory. This solution is designed to protect both footwear and the washing machine during specialized cleaning cycles, complemented by a separate drying solution to keep shoes stable.

The SimpliCare ecosystem also features Wash & Dry Sync, allowing washing machines and dryers to communicate, alongside the ConnectLife software for remote monitoring via an application. In the refrigeration category, the brand introduced the NRKI517C62WF built-in refrigerator-freezer. This 252-liter unit features NoFrost Dual, MultiFlow 360°, and AdaptTech technologies. The model received a “Good (2.0)” rating from Stiftung Warentest, specifically noted for its low noise level of 34 dB and temperature stability.

Additionally, Gorenje presented the expansion of its Retro Line, a collection of small appliances that combines vintage aesthetics with modern technology.
