Gorge Amphitheater drug death leads to arrest of dealer

A 28-year-old man, Quincy R. Travers, has been arrested following a drug-related death at the Gorge Amphitheater during the Bass Canyon Festival. The victim reportedly became ill after consuming illicit substances and later died at the venue's medical facility.

Following reports from concertgoers, the Grant County Sheriff's Office and the Interagency Narcotics Enforcement Team (INET) conducted an investigation. Authorities state that Travers allegedly sold the drugs to the victim. After a controlled buy, investigators arrested Travers on suspicion of one count of delivery of a controlled substance and three counts of possession with intent to distribute. The substances allegedly found in his possession included cocaine, ketamine, and MDMA.

The death is being investigated as a controlled substance homicide. Law enforcement officials indicated that additional charges may be filed against Travers pending the results of an autopsy.
