Gorj County diversifies economy through industrial investments

The Gorj County Council is highlighting several private investments aimed at diversifying the local economy and reducing dependence on traditional sectors.

In Târgu Cărbunești, the Soceram industrial project has been completed and is now operational. The investment includes new production facilities, machinery, and the creation of local jobs, marking a step toward industrial growth in the region.

Additionally, the Variant Group has expanded its operations in Târgu Jiu three years after its initial launch. Originally focused on irrigation systems, the company has diversified its production to include mounting structures for photovoltaic panels and various metal products for industrial use.

Cosmin Mihai Popescu, President of the Gorj County Council, stated that these projects exemplify the goal of attracting private capital to create sustainable economic alternatives through industry, agriculture, and services.
