Gorj County launches competition for school director positions

The competition for director and deputy director positions in pre-university educational units in Gorj County has entered its final stages. According to the Gorj County School Inspectorate, 153 applications were submitted for 133 available positions, with 151 candidates validated. Notably, one candidate from Timiș County has applied for a leadership role within the county.

The evaluation process will be centered at the ‘Constantin Brâncuși’ Gymnasium School in Târgu Jiu. The first stage, assessing competencies, is scheduled for October 13, 2026, followed by a written exam on October 20. Subsequent stages include administrative evaluations of managerial plans from October 21 to November 4, and interviews between November 12 and November 27. Final results are expected to be published on December 9, 2026, with new directors set to begin their mandates on January 1, 2027.
