Gorj Gendarmerie to secure weekend festivals and football matches

The Gorj County Gendarmerie is deploying personnel this weekend to ensure public order and safety at various events across the county. Security measures will be in place for several cultural festivals and football matches.

In Târgu Jiu, gendarmes will monitor the football match between CSM Tg-Jiu and CS Drobeta Turnu Severin at the ‘Constantina Diță’ stadium. In Motru, security will be provided for the Autumn Festival of Motru in Tineretului Park and at the House of Culture from September 18–20. Additionally, the pastoral folklore festival ‘Coborâtul oilor de la munte’ in Baia de Fier will be under surveillance.

In Fărcășești, gendarmes will oversee the Liga III match between CS Vulturii Fărcășești and AS FC Păușești-Otăsău on September 19. Authorities have advised participants to follow all instructions from law enforcement and organizers to prevent disturbances to public order.
