Gorna Oryahovitsa hospital approved as medical training base

MBAL ‘Sveti Ivan Rilski’ in Gorna Oryahovitsa has been officially approved as an accredited training base for medical students and specialists following an order from the Minister of Health. The hospital will now provide clinical training for medical students as well as those in health care professions, including nursing, midwifery, radiology, and rehabilitation.

Additionally, the facility will support postgraduate specialization for doctors across a wide range of medical specialties. Dr. Antoaneta Pavlova and Dr. Aleksandar Davidov, both from the medical diagnostic laboratory, are the first specialists to benefit from this new status. The accreditation allows local doctors to conduct their practical training on-site, eliminating the need for frequent travel to university hospitals in Pleven.
