Gorontalo and Pangkep receive awards for healthcare services

Several regional governments in Sulawesi received awards and financial bonuses during the 2026 Batch II Regional Sulawesi Outstanding Local Government Appreciation event held in Makassar. The awards, organized by the Ministry of Home Affairs, recognized achievements in various sectors, including waste management, education access, and the 3 Million Houses Program.

In the category of Access and Quality of Healthcare Services, the Gorontalo Provincial Government secured first place, receiving a bonus of Rp2 billion. Governor Gusnar Ismail attributed the success to the collective efforts of healthcare workers across all levels, from community health centers to hospitals. Key performance indicators included expanded healthcare access, increased National Health Insurance (JKN) participation, and the implementation of free health check-up programs.

At the regency level, Pangkep Regency ranked third in the same healthcare category, earning an appreciation of Rp1 billion. The award was received by Regent Muhammad Yusran Lalogau. Other notable rankings in the healthcare category included Barru Regency in first place and Banggai Regency in second place.
