Gorontalo DPRD seeks to increase DPR RI seat allocation

The Gorontalo Provincial DPRD is transitioning the effort to increase the province's political representation in the DPR RI from a political aspiration into a formal institutional agenda. The goal is to increase the number of seats allocated to the Gorontalo electoral district from three to four.

To achieve this, the DPRD plans to submit official letters to the DPR RI Commission II and various parliamentary factions. The proposal will be supported by comprehensive data-driven studies, including population growth, voter data, and seat-to-population ratios, to ensure the argument for increased representation is academically and legislatively sound.
