Gorontalo government prioritizes development in Pinogu District

The Gorontalo Provincial Government is maintaining its commitment to infrastructure and education development in the remote Pinogu District of Bone Bolango Regency. Despite facing fiscal constraints due to central government budget efficiency policies—which reduced transfers to the province by Rp82.83 billion—the provincial administration continues to prioritize essential services in the region.

In 2026, approximately Rp2.07 billion to Rp2.7 billion has been allocated for SMA Negeri 1 Pinogu. This funding is designated for the rehabilitation of classrooms, the construction of laboratories, libraries, toilets, and teacher housing.

During a visit to the area on September 22-23, 2026, Governor Gusnar Ismail distributed food aid to 329 families and inspected ongoing educational facility projects. The Governor traveled to the mountainous district via motorcycle to engage directly with residents and teachers regarding local needs, including clean water, internet connectivity, and transportation access.
