Gorontalo Police Set Up Police Line at Illegal Gold Mine Site in Bone Bolango

On 29 July 2026, the Special Criminal Investigation Directorate (Ditreskrimsus) of Polda Gorontalo installed a police line around a suspected illegal gold mining pit (PETI) in the Batu Gergaji area of Tulabolo Timur village, Suwawa Timur district, Bone Bolango Regency. The operation was led by AKP Imam Ansyari Rambe, supported by nine officers, a Brimob tactical team, and Satreskrim personnel from the Bone Bolango Police.

Investigators secured several pieces of evidence, including two bags of mined material, two carbon pipes, three jet‑hammer drill bits, and a blue plastic bowl, and posted a written notice at the site. No active mining activity was observed, and the investigation proceeded without resistance. Authorities said the measures aim to enforce laws against illegal mining and will trace individuals linked to the operation, including owners and workers at the processing site.
