Gorontalo implements regional agricultural, health, and livestock initiatives

The Gorontalo provincial government is implementing several regional development initiatives across the agricultural, healthcare, and economic sectors.

In the agricultural sector, the Ministry of Agriculture and the Gorontalo Food Security, Food Crops, and Horticulture Office are preparing 264,000 superior coconut seedlings for distribution. The largest allocation of 187,000 seedlings is designated for Gorontalo Regency to optimize 1,700 hectares of land, while Pohuwato Regency will receive 77,000 seedlings for 700 hectares.

In healthcare, Governor Gusnar Ismail is accelerating the construction of a cancer center at RSUD dr Hasri Ainun Habibie. The facility aims to serve as a referral center for Eastern Indonesia, featuring advanced technology such as Linear Accelerator (LINAC) for radiation therapy and Brachytherapy. Additionally, a five-story inpatient building is expected to be completed by the end of the year.

In North Gorontalo, the Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) is overseeing the distribution of 106 goats to 10 livestock groups across five districts. This program, funded by the regional budget, aims to boost local economic productivity through controlled breeding programs.
