Gortynia to honor Archpriest Christos D. Kyriakopoulos

The Municipality of Gortynia and the Holy Metropolis of Gortys and Megalopolis are co-organizing an honorary ceremony in Demitsana to recognize the contributions of Archpriest Christos D. Kyriakopoulos.

The event, held at the ‘Mikis Theodorakis’ Municipal Open Theater, honors Kyriakopoulos for his work in church and traditional music heritage. Speakers include Ioannis Plemmenos, Director of Research at the Academy of Athens, and Alexios Katsaros, former General Director of the Ministry of Education. The ceremony will feature a presentation of Kyriakopoulos’s musical and publishing works, including the award-winning volume ‘Heroic Songs of the Peloponnese’.
