Gospel group The Family releases new single after 30‑year break

Legendary gospel group The Family has returned with a new single titled “Jesus We Love You Lord Today,” ending a nearly 30‑year gap between releases. The trio—Darryl Blair, Dalean Collins and Carrie “Mousey” Collins—were introduced on the radio program Get Up Mornings with Erica Campbell, where they described the song as a continuation of their original worship focus.

The group said the reunion is meant to “enhance, not replace,” the current gospel landscape and announced plans for additional music, including a full project slated for 2027. Fans responded enthusiastically, recalling the group’s historic influence on contemporary gospel through earlier hits such as “Silver and Gold” and “Now Behold the Lamb.”
