Gospel of John recounts the calling of Nathanael

The Gospel of John (1:45-51) describes the encounter between Philip and Nathanael. After Philip informs Nathanael that they have found Jesus of Nazareth, Nathanael expresses skepticism regarding whether anything good can come from Nazareth. Philip responds by inviting him to ‘come and see’.
