Gossas hosts vocational training and employment initiative

In Gossas, Senegal, the 72 Hours of Employment and Vocational Training initiative has launched to improve access to professional development for youth, women, and project leaders. The event focuses on bringing public services directly to the population to overcome information barriers regarding administrative and technical processes.

Key state institutions, including the Technical and Vocational Training Financing Fund (3FPT) and the Directorate of Employment, are providing direct guidance. The 3FPT is offering information on training financing, eligibility criteria, and enrollment procedures, while the Directorate of Employment is presenting orientation and integration mechanisms.

As part of the program, the 3FPT is also promoting the ‘One ASC, many trades’ initiative. Led by Director General Souleye Kane, this effort seeks to utilize community-based sports and cultural associations (ASC) as relays to expand access to training and professional insertion.
