Gossip Girl aesthetic influences London Fashion Week SS27
The aesthetic influence of the television series Gossip Girl has resurfaced prominently during London Fashion Week for the Spring-Summer 2027 season. Several designers have utilized the show’s iconic Upper East Side style as a central theme for their collections.
Designer Oscar Ouyang presented the Cygnet collection, which incorporated dialogue from the show’s first season to explore preppy themes and inherited wardrobes. Portuguese designer Gui Rosa debuted the Hi, Society collection, drawing inspiration from the series’ high-society party atmosphere by blending Manhattan glamour with contemporary elements like neon shoes and pencil skirts. Simone Rocha also featured elements of the show’s signature style in her presentation.
Beyond the runway, the character Blair Waldorf continues to serve as a stylistic reference for seasonal fashion, particularly regarding the use of hair accessories, colorful hosiery, and layered accessories to achieve a sophisticated look.
