GOTECH 2026 energy conference concludes in Dubai

The Gas & Oil Technology Conference and Exhibition (GOTECH 2026) has concluded at the Dubai World Trade Centre. Hosted by Dragon Oil in collaboration with the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), the three-day event focused on the theme ‘Energising the Future through Leadership, Innovation, Sustainability, AI, and Talent.’

The conference drew over 2,600 participants from 1,206 companies representing 70 countries. The technical program featured 250 selected papers presented across 52 specialized sessions, covering topics such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, digital transformation, carbon dioxide leakage monitoring, and reservoir analysis.

Abdulkarim Ahmed AlMaazmi, CEO of Dragon Oil and Chairperson of GOTECH 2026, emphasized that global participation highlights the necessity of collaboration to advance a more efficient and sustainable energy industry. Discussions specifically highlighted how AI and digital technologies can optimize operational shutdowns, predict geothermal energy potential, and detect obstructions in gas wells.
