Gotha association funds education project in Adua, Ethiopia

The Gotha friendship association ‘GothAdua’ has committed 11,000 euros to support school instruction in Adua, located in the Tigray region of Ethiopia. This initiative is part of a city partnership between Gotha and Adua aimed at helping children in the war-torn area return to the classroom.

Following a recent trip to Vienna, association chairman Peter Leisner and managing director Reinhard Heiserer signed a contract with the aid organization ‘Jugend Eine Welt’ to implement the ‘Education in Adua’ project. This follows a previous donation from Gotha that funded the construction of a drinking water well serving several thousand residents in the city.
