Germany police reports detail festival drug offenses and traffic incidents

Various police reports from Germany detail a range of criminal activities and traffic incidents. At the Echelon Festival near Bad Aibling, which hosted over 30,000 attendees, police reported a “predominantly quiet and peaceful course” despite 54 investigations related to narcotics, including cocaine, amphetamines, and LSD. Heat-related medical emergencies also occurred, with 345 incidents involving alcohol or substances, leading to ten hospitalizations.

Traffic-related incidents include a high-speed chase in Allershausen where a 26-year-old driver reached speeds of 170 km/h before crashing into trees, leaving a passenger with life-threatening injuries. In Wiesloch, a 39-year-old man was rescued from a destroyed BMW after driving while naked and under the influence of alcohol. Other reports highlight various offenses involving e-scooters, such as technical manipulations in Bochum and Gotha, and a 15-year-old fleeing police on a scooter in Aschaffenburg.

Additional incidents include a theft in Eitorf where a 16-year-old e-scooter rider was robbed while unconscious after a fall, and a report of an unknown perpetrator using a suspected CO2 weapon against two teenagers in Eisbergen. Police also conducted a major speed enforcement week, resulting in numerous citations for excessive speeding across several federal states.
