Gotham FC secured a 2-1 comeback victory against the Kansas City Current at Sports Illustrated Stadium, extending their unbeaten streak to eight games and increasing their first-place NWSL lead to seven points.

Amelia White opened the scoring for the Current just 22 seconds into the match, tying the NWSL record for the fastest goal in league history. However, Gotham FC responded with goals from Midge Purce in the 13th minute and Sam Kerr in the 41st minute. Kerr’s goal marked her 31st career tally, making her Gotham FC’s all-time leading scorer.

With this win, Gotham FC improves to a record of 13-3-4 with 43 points.
