The win stretched Gotham’s unbeaten run to seven games and marked a third consecutive victory, improving its record to 12‑3‑4 and keeping the team near the top of the National Women’s Soccer League table.
Acting head coach Shaun Harris praised the team’s attacking performance, while head coach Juan Carlos Amorós remains on parental leave. The match was played in Harrison, New Jersey, under rainy conditions, and the Wave’s goalkeeper Sandra Paños was unable to prevent the decisive goal.
