Gotham FC signs Leila Ouahabi from Chicago Stars

Gotham FC has signed Spanish international Leila Ouahabi to strengthen its defense in the pursuit of the NWSL Shield. The 33-year-old versatile player, capable of playing as both a full-back and a winger, joins the league leaders from the Chicago Stars.

Ouahabi’s tenure with the Chicago Stars lasted approximately three months, during which she appeared in 11 matches. The move transitions her from the bottom-ranked team to the current NWSL leaders, who hold 54 points. Under the direction of coach Juan Carlos Amorós, Gotham FC aims to utilize Ouahabi’s extensive international experience to bolster their squad through 2028.
