Gothic board game crowdfunding campaign relaunched by THQ Nordic

THQ Nordic confirmed that the crowdfunding campaign for the Gothic board game, titled *Gothic: A Shadow's Quest*, will restart on the Gamefound platform on 30 September 2026. The new campaign follows the cancellation of an earlier funding effort that began in April 2025, despite exceeding its goal, after the team decided to redesign the game based on backer feedback. The revised version features original locations from the Gothic 1 remake, updated graphics, and optional Game Master support for up to four players.

Backers who pledge early on Gamefound can claim an exclusive reward. The relaunch also promises improved shipping rates for many countries and downloadable PDFs with a quick‑start guide and additional information. The developers plan to release more campaign material, including videos, throughout the funding period.
