Gothic Remake labeled a success by Embracer Group

Embracer Group has reported that Gothic Remake, developed by Alkimia Interactive and published by THQ Nordic, is being considered a success despite not yet fully recouping its production and marketing costs.

According to official financial reports, the game reached 500,000 buyers within its first week of release on June 5. Net sales for new PC and console productions rose to 310 million Swedish kronor, driven significantly by the performance of the remake. Following these results, Alkimia Interactive has received the green light to begin work on a new title, with further details expected to be revealed during a THQ Nordic Showcase next summer.
