Gottmik identifies drag kings as the future of the community

Drag performer Gottmik (Kade Gottlieb) has identified drag kings as ‘the future’ of the community, suggesting their emergence can help prevent the art form from becoming stale. Speaking at the season 2 premiere of Revry’s ‘King of Drag’—the first reality competition dedicated to drag kings—Gottmik praised the contestants for their ability to convey personal stories through fashion and art.

As a judge on the series, the ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ alumna noted that the diversity of the performers has been inspiring. The new season is hosted by comedian Cameron Esposito and features contestants including Chase Lounge, Cyrus K. Stratton, D. Vour, Lollygag, Papi Culo, Trade, Twinka Masala, and Vera.
