Gotzon Martín extends contract with Euskaltel‑Euskadi until 2028

Basque cyclist Gotzon Martín, born in Orozko in 1996, has signed a new contract with the Euskaltel‑Euskadi team that runs through the 2027 and 2028 seasons. Martín has been part of the Fundación Euskadi system since his youth, turned professional in 2018 when the team returned to the WorldTour, and has ridden for the ProTeam since 2020, including three Vuelta a España editions (2021, 2022, 2024). He said, "I’m very happy to race two more years with Euskaltel‑Euskadi and the Fundación Euskadi. This is the project I have grown up in, my family, my home."

The renewal comes as Martín prepares for upcoming races such as the Arctic Race of Norway (13‑16 August) and the Bretagne Classic (30 August), followed by the Italian classics. He highlighted the motivation of training alongside teammate Mikel Landa and the close friendship with Hodei Muñoz, calling the team “more than a sports project, it is my family.”
