Governador Valadares launches audiovisual training project
The fourth edition of the Ponto de Cultura Beabá Audiovisual project is set to begin on Monday, September 14, at the Centro Interescolar Dr. Raimundo Soares de Albergaria Filho in Governador Valadares. Funded by the Política Nacional Aldir Blanc (PNAB) of the Minas Gerais government and organized by Núcleo Cidade Futuro, the initiative provides free audiovisual training for high school students.
The program focuses on three main areas: Social History and Memory, which explores local identity and community history; New Technologies and Mobile Editing, covering smartphone video techniques and AI tools; and Language, Production, and Field Experience, which offers hands-on practice with professional equipment and interviewing techniques. Since its inception in 2008, the project has trained approximately 245 young people, aiming to promote digital media literacy and social inclusion through affirmative action vacancies.
