Government agencies in Uruguay and Argentina announce public job openings

The Uruguayan Ministry of the Interior, through the National Migration Directorate, has opened a public competition to fill 56 seasonal positions for the 2026/2027 period. Nine of these roles are allocated to the Migration Inspectorate in Fray Bentos. The positions involve administrative tasks such as data entry, document control, and public service at international bridges, ports, and border crossings. Selected candidates will work 30 hours per week with a monthly salary of $41,969.29 and a contract duration of up to 120 days. Applications are open from September 17 to October 5, 2026, via a web form.

In Argentina, the National Public Prosecutor's Office (MPFN) has announced four open competitions to fill 22 vacancies for prosecutors across the country. These vacancies include roles for General Prosecutors before Federal Oral Criminal Courts in locations such as Bahía Blanca, Santa Rosa, Ushuaia, Formosa, Catamarca, San Martín, La Plata, and the Federal Capital. Additionally, the call includes positions for General Prosecutors before Federal Courts of Appeals in Bahía Blanca, General Roca, and Comandante Luis Piedra Buena, as well as several roles within the Office of the Attorney General. Applications must be submitted through the MPFN computer system by September 25, 2026.
