Government housing initiatives delivered in Dominican Republic and Panama

In the Dominican Republic, the Social Policy Cabinet delivered a new, fully furnished home to a vulnerable family in the La Ureña sector of Santo Domingo Este. The initiative aims to provide secure and hygienic housing for families in extreme poverty through rigorous field assessments of marginalized sectors.

In Panama, the Sánchez Guerra family became the first to receive a government-reconstructed home in the Quebrada Grande community of Soná, Veraguas, following a recent earthquake. Minister of Housing Jaime Jované reported that over 60 homes are currently under construction as part of a broader commitment by President José Raúl Mulino to rebuild residences lost to the seismic event.
