Long Thanh International Airport connectivity plans for Ho Chi Minh City

The Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) is developing transportation strategies to connect Ho Chi Minh City with the upcoming Long Thanh International Airport. Since railway connections will not be operational during the initial phase, road transport will serve as the primary method for passenger movement.

Two main road routes are being studied: one utilizing the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway combined with the Nhon Trach bridge, Ring Road 3, and National Highway 25C; the other connecting the same expressway to the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway and the airport access junction.

ACV is collaborating with local authorities to establish a public transport network, including airport buses and shuttle services. A key focus is the potential for direct shuttle services between Tan Son Nhat Airport and Long Thanh Airport to facilitate passenger transfers and optimize the transition between the two hubs. The goal is to create a continuous, 24/7 transport network for passengers, flight crews, and workers.
