Government of India denies ₹7,000 labour registration scheme

The Press Information Bureau (PIB) has debunked a viral social media claim asserting that the Government of India is providing ₹7,000 directly to bank accounts upon labour registration.

Investigations into the misleading videos reveal that no such government scheme or announcement exists. Authorities warn that these fraudulent claims are often used to extract sensitive personal and banking information, such as Aadhaar numbers, bank account details, OTPs, or UPI PINs.

Citizens are advised to seek authentic information regarding labour laws and welfare initiatives through official government websites, such as labour.gov.in, and to avoid clicking on unknown links or sharing financial credentials with unverified sources.
