Kashim Shettima attends Governor AbdulRazaq's turbaning in Kwara

Vice President Kashim Shettima visited Ilorin, Kwara State, to participate in the turbaning of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq as the Sardauna of Ilorin Emirate. The ceremony, conducted by the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, marks the first time the title has been conferred upon the governor.

During the visit, Shettima also commissioned two major infrastructure projects: the Kwara State garment factory, which is expected to employ approximately 4,000 people at full capacity, and the 11-storey Kwara Revenue Service House.

In remarks made during the event, Shettima addressed previous comments regarding political support for President Bola Tinubu. He clarified that his earlier mention of six northern governors supporting Tinubu referred to political alignments and consultations prior to the June 2022 APC presidential primary, rather than the 2023 general election. He noted that all northern APC governors rallied behind Tinubu once he emerged as the party's candidate.
