Mexico launches multiple road and agricultural infrastructure projects
State and federal authorities in Mexico inaugurated a series of infrastructure works in June 2026. The federal Highway 127 linking Tantoyuca and Pánuco in Veracruz received approval to begin reconstruction of its first 25 km, fulfilling a pledge made by Governor Rocío Nahle and President Claudia Sheinbaum.
In Puebla, the state Secretariat of Infrastructure started paving the Gran Avenida (2.5 km) and rebuilding the Camino Los Molinos (5.6 km) to improve connectivity for Atlixco, Santa Isabel Cholula and Ocoyucan, using donated PEMEX supplies.
In Sonora, Governor Alfonso Durazo opened rehabilitation of the San Luis Río Colorado‑Sonoyta road segment, a project aimed at benefiting more than 275 000 people and enhancing border transport security.
Morelos officials reported the completion of 542 km of rural “saca‑cosecha” roads across 23 municipalities, boosting agricultural logistics.
Separately, the Puebla government delivered over 36 million pesos in agricultural support – machinery, precision‑farming technology and inputs – to more than 1 300 producers in the Atlixco micro‑region, under the “Seguridad para el Campo” program. All projects cite the Sheinbaum‑led national strategy to upgrade transport networks and strengthen rural economies.
