Governor Alex Otti details Abia State infrastructure and regional progress

Abia State Governor Alex Otti has highlighted several developmental milestones and regional collaborations. Speaking at a Nigerian-British Chamber of Commerce event in Lagos, Otti reported that his administration has completed 414 road projects and installed over 10,000 solar-powered streetlights across Abia State. He noted that 80 percent of the state’s N1.016tn 2026 budget is allocated to capital projects to foster economic growth.

Otti also commended Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah following Mbah’s receipt of an honorary Doctor of Law degree from the University of East London. Otti described the honor as a recognition of Mbah’s contributions to governance and his commitment to education. Both leaders expressed a shared vision to transform the South East region into a hub for commerce, industry, and innovation.
