Governor Américo Villarreal delivers equipment and launches paper‑recycling drive in Tamaulipas

On Monday in Ciudad Victoria, Governor Américo Villarreal Anaya handed over vehicles and heavy machinery to the state secretariats of Public Security, Finance, Public Works and Civil Protection, and delivered garbage‑truck units to the municipalities of Victoria and Tampico. The procurement, worth 125.2 million pesos, includes 17 patrol cars, two mobile visual‑tower systems, two motor graders, two backhoes, two CASE excavators, two New Holland mini‑loaders, 20 Nissan Versa cars and a truck for each of the two cities.

In a parallel initiative, the Secretariat of Urban Development and Environment, under Karl Heinz Becker Hernández, began a paper‑recycling scheme that collected roughly 25 tonnes of paper from the state judiciary in Ciudad Victoria, Altamira and El Mante. The paper will be processed by a recycling firm, which will supply the resulting school furniture, equipment and air‑conditioning units to public schools across Tamaulipas, creating a circular‑economy benefit for the community.
